Overview:

The Christian community in Burundi maintains an active witness to Christ among the country’s small but vital Muslim population. Through the faithful witness of Burundian Christians, many young Muslims have come to know Christ. These Christian converts from Islam are often opposed and rejected by their community and Muslim family members.

Prayer Requests:

• Pray that front-line workers will maintain a bold and loving witness in Muslim communities.
• Pray for the protection and provision of Christian converts from Islam who are persecuted by their communities.
• Pray that Burundian churches will welcome Christian converts from Islam who seek fellowship.
• Use Acts 4:29 as a guide to pray that Burundian evangelists will remain bold in the face of persecution.
• Pray that the example of new Christians will lead their persecutors to repentance and faith in Christ.
