• The Etudes are revisions of the Douze Grandes Etudes. They were dedicated to Carl Czerny, Liszt’s piano teacher.
• These pieces prioritise poetic expression and complex harmonic language, with ten etudes bearing evocative titles derived from nature, mythology, and literature.
